So I got hold of a wood lathe last weekend.
Consequently I've been tinkering with it all week and turning wizard wands because they're a fantastic way to test different techniques. I quite enjoy making them. For scale, the big one in the middle is around 13-14 inches long.
Just been using poplar for now because it's what's easy to get, but I desperately want to order some ebony to play with.
I still need to stain and seal these, so they're not done yet, but on a whole I'm very much enjoying this new art to play with.
Time for Hogwarts robes.

Oh these are gorgeous! I really love the craftsmanship in the handles, and subtle detailing. If you ever want to take something like art trades for these, I'd definitely be interested in one!
